What is MMP?

Today we are learning about MMP witch is the New Zealand's voting system.

Mixed Member  of Proportional (MMP) is the system used in New Zealand to vote our members of Parliament (MP). MMP will be used in the upcoming election for 2020.
MP is made up of 72 electorate seats, inducing 7 Maori electorate. usually 120 MP'S who will represent each voter of New Zealand. 

You need to be enrolled to vote in the election and referendums. voting will open two days earlier than usual, and there will be more voting places to. into force, giving people with a terminal illness the option of requesting assisted dying.

if you are 18 years or older you will be able to vote. when you vote you will get 1 paper but it will have to sides on it witch is the party who your going to vote for and the person. 

New Zealand is divided into 71 geographical areas called. electorates or seats.
